Background
Hi, I’m Joan Chodorow. I have been a professional organizer since 2002, concentrating on residential work – kitchens, pantries, garages, closets, kids’ rooms, home offices, digital organizing, paper filing systems, downsizing and more….
I am a longtime member of NAPO (National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals) and am in Golden Circle, in recognition of an elevated level and duration of experience and expertise in Professional Organizing.
For many years, I have been part of ICD (The Institute for Challenging Disorganization) and have cultivated an extensive background both through study and working with clients who contend with Chronic Disorganization/Clutter Disorder (CD) and/or ADHD, all of which can make decluttering extra challenging.
I am certified as a “Virtual Organizing Professional”

Many years working in the art realm – as a theatre actress – has (unexpectedly) enhanced my ability as an organizer. Having become quite accustomed to working collaboratively on projects in a spontaneous, creative and cooperative atmosphere and often interacting through intuition actually lends itself to the organizing process as we work together.
